VERY IMPORTANT DURING EXAM TIME
1. GIVE MORE TIME FOR STUDY
While some students do seem to thrive on last-minute 'cramming', it's widely accepted that for most of us, this is not the best way to approach an exam. Set out a timetable for your study. Write down how many exams you have and the days on which you have to sit them. Then organise your study accordingly. You may want to give some exams more study time than others, so find a balance that you feel comfortable with.
2. MANAGE YOUR STUDY LOCATION OR SPACE
Try and get rid of all distractions, and make sure you feel as comfortable and able to focus as possible. For some people, this may mean almost complete silence; for others, background music helps. Some of us need everything completely tidy and organise in order to concentrate, while others thrive in a more cluttered environment. Think about what works for you, and take the time to get it right.
3. USE FLOWCHART FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING AND DIAGRAM
Visual aids can be really helpful when revising. At the start of a topic, challenge yourself to write down everything you already know about a topic - and then highlight where the gaps lie. Closer to the exam, condense your revision notes into one-page diagrams. Getting your ideas down in this brief format can then help you to quickly recall everything you need to know during the exam.
4. MUST PREPARE PREVIOUS EXAMS PAPER
One of the most effective ways to prepare for exams is to practise taking past versions. This helps you get used to the format of the questions, and - if you time yourself - can also be good practise for making sure you spend the right amount of time on each section.
5.DISCUSS ABOUT EXAMS AND SHARE YOUR ANSWER WITH OTHERS
Parents and little brothers and sisters don't have to be annoying around exam time! Use them to your advantage. Explain an answer to a question to them. That will help you to get it clear in your head, and also to highlight any areas where you need more work.
6. ORGANIZE STUDY WITH YOUR FRIEND CIRCLE
Get together with friends for a study session. You may have questions that they have the answers to and vice versa. As long as you make sure you stay focused on the topic for an agreed amount of time, this can be one of the most effective ways to challenge yourself.
7. GIVE YOUR MIND TO TAKE A SOME BREAK
While you may think it's best to study for as many hours as possible, this can actually be counterproductive. If you were training for a marathon, you wouldn't try and run 24 hours a day! Likewise studies have shown that for long-term retention of knowledge, taking regular breaks really helps. Everyone's different, so develop a study routine that works for you. If you study better in the morning, start early before taking a break at lunchtime. Or if you're more productive at nighttime, take a larger break earlier on so you're ready to settle down come evening. Try not to feel guilty about being out enjoying the sunshine instead of hunched over your textbooks. Remember Vitamin D is important for a healthy brain!
8. DO NOT USE MORE JUNK FOOD
Keep away from junk food! You may feel like you deserve a treat, or that you don't have time to cook, but what you eat can really have an impact on energy levels and focus. Keep your body and brain well-fulled by choosing nutritious foods that have been proven to aid concentration and memory, such as fish, nuts, seeds, yogurt and blueberries. The same applies on exam day - eat a good meal before the test, based on foods that will provide a slow release of energy throughout. Sugar may seem appealing, but it won't help when your energy levels crash an hour or so later.
9. MIND SET FOR YOUR EXAM DAY
Make sure you get everything ready well in advance of the exam - don't leave it to the day before to suddenly realised you don't know the way, or what you're supposed to bring. Check all the rules and requirements, and plan your route and journey time. If possible, do a test run of the trip; if not, write down clear directions.Work out how long it will take to get there - then add on some extra time. You really don't want to arrive having had to run halfway or feeling frazzled from losing your way. You could also make plans to travel to the exam with friends or classmates, as long as you know they're likely to be punctual!
10. DRINK WANTED WATER
Remember that being well hydrated is essential for your brain to work at its best. Make sure you keep drinking plenty of water throughout your revision, and also on the exam day.
<<BEST OF LUCK>>
GUJARAT BUDGET 2016-17 SPOTLIGHT ON YOUTH AND FARMERS
- The Gujarat government on Tuesday presented its annual Budget for the financial year 2016-17 with the overall size of Rs 1,51,852 crore. With an annual plan outlay of Rs 85,557.78 crore, the proposed Budget has a clear focus on two disgruntled sections of the BJP political vote bank youth and farmers. The Budget’s priorities seem to be defined looking at the 2017 Assembly elections as it emphasises on wooing these two sections. The proposed Budget enlarges the scope of Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY), which was announced following Patidar reservation stir, allocating Rs 2,500 crore for roads mainly in rural areas. It also proposes opening up 66,000 government jobs in the current year, which Finance Minister Saurabh Patel said, was being done “for the first time since the foundation of the state (in 1960)”.
- In the recently-concluded local body elections, Gujarat BJP faced a severe setback mainly in district panchayats and taluka panchayats, which is seen as a fallout of the Patidar quota stir. To calm the community, seen as wealthy and progressive in Gujarat, the state government had announced MYSY, offering financial assistance to the economically weaker sections of the society. The annual family income cap to avail the scheme has been increased from Rs 4.5 lack to Rs 6 lack. Also, the qualification percentile to avail the benefit of the scheme has been decreased from 90 to 80.
- Finance Minister Patel also floated the “Smart village” project, allocating Rs 185 crore to cover around 300 villages in the first year. “We aim to make villages of Gujarat self-reliant, clean and healthy, crime free, disease free, samras (with co-opted gram panchayats) and economically empowered,” said Patel. The villages will be selected through independent and transparent competition. Every Smart village will be provided special assistance by the state government. Under this scheme, there will be scope to include extra villages adopted through people’s participation. The government has provided Rs 6,729.42 crore under plan and non-plan for panchayat, rural housing and rural development department. The 66,000 jobs that the Gujarat government announced to open up in a single year will be in the education, police, health, revenue and forest departments. The FM also announced that apart from these government jobs, there were plans to hold recruitment in grant-in-aid institutes and public sector enterprises.
- To woo the farming community, special emphasis has been given on irrigation and flood management in the Budget plan. Patel said that irrigation and flood management comprised 16.7 per cent of the total plan size. Also, special provision of Rs 25 crore has been announced for a Drainage Master Plan for districts like Banaskantha, Patan, Kutch, Surendranagar, Ahmadabad and Mehsana.
- The agriculture and allied services sector also forms around 7 per cent of the total plan size of the Budget. For farmers, a number of provisions have been announced, like loans at 1 per cent interest rate for Kharif crops, with the upper limit of Rs 3 lack. The Budget has the provision of Rs 375 crore for this which is claimed to benefit 38 lack farmers in the state.
- The provision of Rs 228.50 crore has been made for precautionary stoking of fertiliser through Gujarat Aggro Industries Corporation to preempt chronic shortage of fertiliser at the time of intense demand. Also, with an objective to protect farmers from agricultural risks and provide them support for crop loss during natural calamity, provision of Rs 495.67 crore has been made under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, announced recently by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- Under infrastructure, the Budget has announced Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana to augment and strengthen road network in rural areas. The project targets 18,000 villages and 16,245 hamlets of the state. “The state government has identified works to the tune of Rs 10,000 over the next three years for which Rs 2,500 crore has been planned under the scheme in the current year,” Patel said in his Budget speech.
- CM Anandiben Patel Tuesday hailed the state Budget as a concrete step by her government for overall development. She said it will bring paradigm shift in the lives of tribal, rural people, women and the youth, according an official release. Opposition Congress, on the other hand, termed it “jugglery of figures”. Leader of opposition in the Assembly Shankersinh Vaghela said it offered no solution for price-rise and measures for job creation. with pit inputs
- Rs 14,294 Cr for irrigation, flood control
- Gandhinagar: Irrigation and flood management comprised 16.7 percent of the total plan size, Rs 14,294 crore, of the 2016-17 Budget. This assumes importance since Gujarat is facing general Assembly elections in 2017 and availability of water for both drinking and agriculture is of paramount importance.
- Finance Minister Saurabh Patel has proposed to provide Rs 9,050 crore for the Sardar Sarovar Yojana. A provision of Rs 163 crore has been made for installing the radial gates and other ancillary works which are under progress in this project.
- The government has altered the implementation of Sardar Sarovar Yojana by preferring Under Ground Pipeline over construction of sub-minor canals. The budget has provision of Rs 2,021 crore for laying UGPL covering around 12,500-km to provide irrigation to 5 lack hectares of land in 64 talukas. To assist farmers in increasing their income by adopting drip irrigation, Rs 765 crore has been proposed to be provided to them. A provision of Rs 919 crore has been made to increase irrigation facility for tribal farmers.
- For increasing the water storage capacity, it has been planned to deepen 470 small check-dams, 270 big check-dams and 850 ponds and repair check-dams. Also, there is planning for undertaking desolating of reservoirs. The Budget has total provision of Rs 329 crore for this. It has provision of Rs 498 crore to improve existing canal network benefiting 1 lack hectare of irrigated land.

FOODS FOR FIGHT CANCER
HELLO GUYS HERE SOME FOODS TO FIGHT CANCER
1)oily fish
2)Carrots, peppers and greens
3)ginger
4)seeds
5)nuts
6)mushrooms
7)tomatoes
8)green leafy vegetables
9)broccoil
10)garlic
11)beetroot
12)pulese
1 Oily Fish
Fish oil will provide long chain omega-3, a powerful anti-inflammatory in the body that minimizes COX-2 and its abilities to drive negative hormones which cause inflammation - driving cancer and metastases. Omega-3 has been shown to re-lengthen telomeres, which shorten when you have cancer putting the DNA structure at risk and reducing longevity. Fish oils also contain vitamin A, an important vitamin in the fight against cancer (herring, mackerel and salmon are top of the list). Fish oils have been linked to reduced levels of prostate, breast and colon cancer. Research shows they help prevent cachexia when having chemotherapy. You´ll also get a little vitamin D from them, another proven cancer-fighter. Omega 3 from fish is an important ingredient in your cancer diet. Please note that the omega 3 from flaxseed is short-chain, equally important but has different benefits (for example, it helps oxygenate the tissues and provides essential fibre).
2 Carotenoids - Carrots, peppers and greens
Along with apricots, red and yellow peppers, greens like kale and spinach and sweet potatoes, carrots provide anti-cancer carotenoids like beta-carotene, which converts to vitamin A, as and when required by the body. 1 cup of carrot juice, 2 sweet potatoes, 16 dried apricots and 4 cups of red cherries will each provide 25 mgs. Don´t eat them all at once - people have been known to turn a little orange! A great juice to make yourself involves greens, sweetened by carrots and apples (for quercitin) and beetroot (for anthocyanins) with a helping of calming raw ginger. A real cancer fighting drink! Carotenoids are also found in natural food sources such as chlorella. Raw carrots are also high in pectins - your helpful gut bacteria will love you for eating pectins and give you more in return. A red pepper is the top source of vitamin C in the UK - even better than oranges.
3 Ginger
Fresh, raw ginger has a number of very important benefits in cancer. It is a terrific anti-inflammatory agent in the body and reduces the effects of COX-2. This produces benefits throughout the body and especially in the gut, reducing rates of cancer spread. It also lowers blood sugar levels, and gingerols have been shown to have effects against prostate, breast, leukaemia and other cancer cells. Grate 5 gms or more of ginger each day into your juices. It is also full of helpful vitamins and minerals and is anti-parasitic.
4 Seeds
Seeds are full of good oils, whole vitamins in a natural form (like vitamin E) and fibre to strengthen your gut flora. People who consume the highest levels of natural fibre have higher immune systems. For example:
Sunflower Seeds
High in zinc and natural vitamin E. Zinc helps vitamin C do its work and accelerates healing time. It is important to a healthy prostate. You need 15 to 25 mgs per day. Five tablespoons of sunflower seeds give you 10 mgs. Sunflower seeds will also provide a little selenium.
Pumpkin Seeds
Can be mixed with the sunflower seeds in your morning muesli. 5 tablespoons will each provide 20 mgs of vitamin E, the ultimate cancer buster, which inhibits cancer cell growth and protects immune cells from free radicals. Vitamin E boosts your immune system´s fighting abilities. The target is 300-600 mgs and is difficult to achieve without supplements.
Sesame Seeds
The unique lignans can reduce blood pressure and lipid levels. Research shows they can fight inflammation and also cancer! Gamma tocopherol vitamin E reduces inflammation around the body. Both sesame and flax lignans are converted to compounds that can arrest oestrogen cancers.
5 Nuts
Six cracked brazil nuts will give you your daily selenium; 100 to 200 mcgs is the goal. Selenium is a very potent anti-cancer agent. Eight slices of wholemeal bread, an organic egg, or a large chicken breast will also be enough.
(Tuna, onions, broccoli and tomatoes contain selenium too.)
Walnuts and almonds are a helpful additions to your diet because they contain good oils and high natural fibre. People who eat nuts every day live longer according to research in Cancer Watch.
6 Mushrooms
There´s an enormous body of research evidence now that shows how ´medicinal´ mushrooms (Shiitake, Maiitake, cordyceps etc) boost the immune system and fight cancer. Even the button mushroom has cancer fighting ingredients. We have a great review on medicinal mushrooms
Tomatoes
7 Tomatoes
Seven to ten helpings per week, especially cooked.
According to Harvard research 7-10 helpings a week cuts prostate symptoms by 40% and has an influence on many cancers e.g.: lung; colon; cervix; breast. Lycopene is the prime active ingredient, and 25 - 40 mgs the desired daily dose.
It is also found in strawberries, peppers, carrots and peaches, but one tin of tomato soup has 65 mgs alone. Lycopene helps reduce ´bad´ fat levels in the blood stream and is a strong antioxidant.
8 Green leafy vegetables
Along with avocado, beans, carrots, apricots, pumpkins, and egg yolk green vegetables will give you folic acid if your gut bacteria are strong.
This will help your DNA to replicate properly and protect it during radiotherapy.
400 micrograms is a recommended amount. Folate, biotin, choline and inositol, niacin and vitamin B12 are all B vitamins that help in the cancer fight. Niacin has been shown to kill cancer cells. Egg yolk, greens and whole grains are the best sources.
It doesn´t just stop there. Green vegetables and sprouting seeds are a source of sulforaphanes which have strong epigenetic (cancer correcting) benefits and have been shown to aid survival from colorectal cancer.
A diet rich in greens will help alkalyse your body. A slightly alkaline body is important as it improves the performance of your immune system and research shows it stops new metastases.
9 Broccoli
Like other green cruciferous vegetables (e.g. cabbage, kale, Brussels sprouts), broccoli contains fibre which helps eliminate toxins
Moreover, the fibre is rich in galactose, which binds to damaging agents in the intestine, and is one of the favourite foods of good, helpful gut bacteria (as are carrots, apples, chicory and onions).
Broccoli also contains indoles, and especially indole3carbinol which, along with its metabolite DIM, modifies and diminishes aggressive oestrogen action, can modify cellular oestrogen receptor sites, and aids in fighting oestrogen-driven cancers like some breast, prostate, brain and colorectal cancers.
I3C and DIM were also found to have action in non-oestrogen driven cancers as they can also affect the p27 cancer pathway.
10 Garlic
It is a truly wonderful food. Active ingredients like allicin seem to act to stop the spread of cancer in a number of ways, for example by stopping blood supply formation for tumours.
Garlic also kills microbes and yeasts - after taking drugs and antibiotics the body is often susceptible to these. Garlic is also anti-inflamatory in the body. It has a number of active ingredients. It contains selenium, tryptophan and sulphur-based active agents that attack cancer cells.
Two or three raw cloves of garlic raw per day will ward off more than vampires.
11 Beetroot
And cherries, aubergines, plums, red grapes - indeed any purple coloured fruits and vegeatables. They contain anthocyanins (and sometimes also resveratrol). Anthocyanins have been shown to kill cancer cells; Resveratrrol has research supporting its role in fighting certain cancers like blood and brain cancers too.
12 Pulses
Lentils, chickpeas, beans, peas, kidney beans and even soya beans are a great source of plant protein. Most importantly they release their carbohydrate slowly because of their high fibre content. They reduce blood glucose.
Green tea
Pulses also contain isoflavones called phytoestrogens. People get confused about plant oestrogen. The cells of your body have oestrogen receptor sites. When one form of human oestrogen (oestradiol) binds to them, the result is havoc inside your cells. About 40 times less potent is human oestrogen oestrone and about 40 to 50 times less potent still are plant oestrogens. Now which would you rather have sitting on your receptors? Pulses also provide fibre like lignans that can help neutralise free-radicals in the gut and blood stream.
Phytoestrogens bind more weakly than human oestrogen and wash through the body - so you need to eat them daily.

- A good color coded Mind Map can be an effective way of remembering information in its own right.
HOW TO REMEMBER ANSWER
- The problem with this is that you can forget the label on a line on a Mind Map.
- A more reliable method is to take your Mind Map of a subject, and break it down into a list of important points and facts on a large sheet of paper.
- This list can be ordered into general subject areas.
- This list should be numbered. Beside all the important facts you can note down associated and supporting information.
HOW TO REMEMBER EACH SUBJECT
- By associating items on a list with a peg such as a number,
- we can check that we have retrieved all items held by a mnemonic.
- This numbered list can be remembered using some of the mnemonic techniques explained in Mind Tools.
- For longer lists we can use The Journey System, remembering key facts at each stop in the journey.
- Supporting facts can be associated into images or sub-mnemonics triggered at these stops in the journey system, or can be loosely associated in general memory to be retrieved by the cues of the main facts...
